Torn between nice guy Bob and bad boy jIM!

A female Canada age 26-29, anonymous writes:

This is quite a long and complicated story but please read and try to help me out here:

There's this guy- let's call him Bob. He is in my science class and I've been crushing on him all semester. But alas, he is popular, gorgeous and I am...not ugly, more like pretty (yet insecure). Now there's this other guy- let's call him Jim. Jim has my lunch and he's a badass (stoner, not a virgin, steals money) that somewhat resembles Rocky. I was an idiot and trusted my friends, telling them that I liked Jim. One thing lead to another, and he found out. This doesn't bother me much, as I am already aware that I can do better than him. Trouble is, he now likes me in return, which shouldn't be a problem in the first place, but on Friday I spoke to Bob in class, and he seemed to be genuinely flirting with me! But there's hardly a week left in school, and I don't know what to do or who to choose, because if I go after Bob I'll probably be rejected and then not even have Jim, but if I go for Jim, I may be judged as a slut (because only sluts would go for a guy like this). But if things DO go well with Bob, I would be soooooooo happy, plus he's popular so bonus. I know this sounds really really shallow, but no one else seems to know what I should do so I figured I'd post this question into the endless void of the internet. Please help me.

mwarren agony auntDont base your decision on how popular you will be or who is the most well liked...I know this is hard for school age people. Go where your heart takes you. All three of you are young and things can and will change, always respect yourself and dont go along with things just for the sake of the "in crowd"
