there's a boy I really like and I really want him to like me. hes really popular and im not. there might be a chance he likes me he sometimes looks at me and we hols eye contact for a couple of seconds but that's about it. im not very confident and I don't want to go up to him and im scared to go talk to him he starts all the conversations but im always really nervous. HELP. WHAT DO I DO!!!!!!!!!!

janniepeg agony auntYou didn't say if it is friendship you want or more. A lot of young relationships start of as trial and error. The point of interacting with the opposite sex is to gain confidence and to bridge the gap between misconceptions. It's normal to feel nervous around a crush, but you have to remember do you want to stay in your comfort zone of just crushing, or do you want to get to know him better as a person?

There is no reason to just go up to him. I doubt people just walk up to each other. It would seem strange. Well at least he starts conversations and maybe you can build on those. It's important that you don't put people on pedestals, as if only popular people are worthy of love and attention.
