A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

HI, not a relationship question really, but very soon i have a meeting at my office. I havent a clue what it is about, but i do know, that one of the people i have to speak to when i get there, doesn't like me and always loves to belittle me.

I am a very shy person, wouldnt say boo to a goose, when it comes to my workplace anyway, and i'd quite like it to stay that way. But i also want to show them that when it comes to it, i can stick up for myself if needs be.

Has anyone got any tips on how to get through this meeting without looking like a stuttering fool?

I always get the shakes and my mind goes blank, then once out of a meeting i am full of retorts. How can i use them while it is the moment for it, and not afterwards when i can hardly go barging back into the office to use them.

Hope you can help.

Thanks

Try caffeine. What your describing is called wit and isn't really something you're going to pick up quickly.
