I have many musician friends and spending a night singing on stage for a noisy crowd can cause really bad sore throats so they eat honey it soothes it and really helps and it tatse nice too

Hi Waterloo,
Aww! Sorry to hear that you're sick!
Well, I have a quick solution that will only mask the problem, really, but at least it will make you feel better. Have you tried using a numbing throat spray? I've used them before when I absolutely couldn't stand my throat hurting anymore and it worked for a while. Perhaps you could stop by the drug store and ask the pharmacist what he recommends?
Hope this helps!

I took penicillin and after a day or so my throat was 10 times better.
Also, my nan made me a "Hot Toddy", boil some hot water in to a cup and add a tablespoon of honey and a drop of whiskey . . . . works a treat!!!
Hope you feel better soon xx

My old granny's recipe works quite well - if you've got a sweet tooth.
Half a tin of Lyles Golden Syrup in a pudding basin.
1 Spanish Onion well chopped up.
Mix the onion with the syrup and cover with cling film. Leave for an hour. Stir. Leave another half hour. The syrup then goes watery.
Gargle then drink it one tablespoonful at a time every hour or when you feel the need.
Works a treat if you can stand the taste!
Phil
