Basically I have a situation being stalked and I think it could be some sort of prostitution ring - I do intend to go to the police but I need some sort of evidence first as my story sounds very far fetched and it would really help if I could figure out who they could be and what they're likely to do.Thank you for helping me

reader, anonymous, writes (23 July 2009): What I've heard is that they'll do a couple of things. One, like SY mentioned, was to get them to bond. They'll choose a vulnerable girl -- a runaway, homeless, whatever, and take them in. He'll treat her very well for a while, telling her that he loves her, he's there for her, he'll keep her safe. He keeps her well fed and happy, might buy her some nice things.
A similar approach works with bored middle-class girls hanging out at malls -- this older, slightly dangerous guy taking an interest seems like a great adventure, and a bit of a 'screw you' to her parents. He behaves well until she convinces herself that she loves him.
At that point he may introduce drugs, with an eye to getting her addicted. She of course has no money, so his 'generosity' is her sole source of the drug.
So he develops a situation of power. He will tell her she's obligated because he's cared for her, kept her safe, and now she has to start paying him back. And the drugs are available only if he's happy with her.

reader, anonymous, writes (23 July 2009): HA.. well I cannot speak from experience but i'll tell you something i saw on television. It was a girl who had been saved from a pimp and they were interveiwing her (blocking out her face). It was mentioned taht it took quite a bit of time to get any information out of her because what her pimp did was munipulate her into thinking that he was her saviour.. that he was the best thing that could happen to her and that the police were the "bad guys" and if they ever caught her, she should never tell them where he was because they were evil and would do horrible things to him..
It was to protect him..
