He tested my urine sample which was fine and then examined both of my testes for lumps etc. The only one noticeable thing was a slightly inflammed epididymis on the left testicle. The doctor said to leave it for a week so see if the pain subsides. I never recieved antibiotics - probably because there was no infection. Or any painkillers.I hope that this discomfort subsides over the next few days. It's more annoying than anything else. This clearly isn't infectious epididymitis, but what else could have caused it? I'm not a doctor and I don't have testicles so I can't really suggest anything.
If it still hasn't gone away then go back to the doc, as he can run more tests.
Docs are not big on giving out anti-biotics any more. They used to dose them out like sweets which is why we now have resistant strains of infections going around killing people in hospitals.
As for pain killers, you probably don't need anything stronger than the 3 usual ones: Paracetamol, asprin and ibuprophen.
Try taking ibuprophen as that is good for muscley things and period pain. You can take paracetamol with it. NEVER take asprin and ibuprophen together, they DO NOT MIX.
Experiment but leave 4 hours minimum between each dose and be really careful how much paracetamol you take... read the leaflet in the box to find out what strength and how often you can take each one.
Good Luck!! xx
