writes:I am in a terrible quandary. Today, there is a Release Party/Reading for a book of poems, and i am invited to the party since one of my poems is in the book. The thing is that the poem is about my first kiss with my bf, but lately things have been painfully weird between us. I have not had much recognition or support for my poetry before, and yet how can i read it?Sometimes I think that writing about love is a jinx for it!Should I not attend the party? I don't think i can bring my bf. He knows I have a poem in the book, but he hasn't read it. He might be coming over to my house today, also, which makes the whole situation upsetting!
