I Am Close To Choosing my options in school - 3 lessons that are decided on what i want to do when i am older - but my mum keeps trying to change my options. she also said that i wont be able to do a game designer course at university - wich is what i want to do - when i know that i can because i asked my careers teacher. it seems that she doesnt want me to be a game designer when i am older. just know ive had a lecture over "everyone wants to be a game designer, keep your mind open, you should be a solicitor or something..." but i dont wnat to be!! they wont listen!

what should i do?

I feel for you mate... But at the end of the day its your life, and ur future.. If you want 2 be a game disinger GO FOR IT!!!!Their are many people who do it and make a mint!!And im sure their are a ton of places you can learn..

You need 2 sit your parents down and be firm with them (but fair) Telll them that is your life and your options and that you feel their been un-fair. I feel that if you teel them how much you want this and that its your dream they'll understand!!

If they dont get it and still try to change what you want to do, keep the form away from away from them and chose what you want!!! If you have a dream follow it,,if you dont you;ll only regret it!!!

Good luck mate Gaz

baybee-x-sparkii agony auntokay depending on your school if you have this policy im not sure...but when i took my options i was given a three week almost trial period to try things out. and if this idea isn't working for you, well try a compromise surely there is a way around it that will please your mum but make sure that you also enjoy yourself in lessons you will like

hope this helps
