He's trying to "tell" you that he likes s*x with you... and would like to resume that bit of what went on between the two of you..... BUT/AND it isn't something that he sees going on "forever"... but, instead, for not more than 4 years. That way, he has you primed for getting dumped - yet again - with him having "justified" himself by "telling you" that he wasn't REALLY in it for the LONG HAUL...
Bottom line: He's talking B.S.... and you'd be a fool to put up with it/him...
