writes: I am on the pill at the moment, but a while ago I had my period, then 19 days later I had another one, then a few days after that it started again, it has now been a month since then and I am on the 7 placebos for my period but I haven't come on yet? is this normal? and am I supposed to go onto placebos the day I'm due to come on my period or the day I actually bleed because it's not always accurate? please help x

reader, anonymous, writes (21 March 2010): I've been on the pill since I was 12 for wacky periods. I have to change about every year because they start messing up and happening at odd times. The gyno says some times the body just starts to get use to the hormones and goes back to it's old ways. Maybe it's just not working anymore and it's time to switch.
CAUTION - it is HIGHLY likely that it is not work as a contraceptive right now so be careful if you are sexually active.
