A
reader, anonymous, writes (2 December 2008): Why don't you want your husband to know? My wife discusses all problems with me and that way I have more understanding of what she is/has gone through. It's not much of a relationship if you can't share your problems or is there something else you are not telling us?

It sounds as if you might, but please go see a doctor about it. It's very important to be sure that what you have is actually a yeast infection before starting antibiotics for it. Other conditions can mimic the symptoms of a yeast infection, as well. Your doctor will need to take cultures from the inside of your vagina to be sure that it's actually yeast causing the problem.
