how long also varies.

The best way to know you are in a honeymoon stage:

you don't fight

you think your partner can do no wrong

you diss your other friends to be with your partner as often as possible

you give up your sense of self and your hobbies to be with them... (if you like yoga 3 times a week perhaps you stop going except for when your partner is not available)

it's not real life and no decisions should be made in terms of permanency in this part of the relationship.
