writes:I just got out of a relationship with this man two days ago. Even though it was just a two month relationship, I feel like we flew threw all of the steps. We met at a Christmas party and hit it off. About a month into getting to know each other, we slept together. A week later, we decided to be together and make it official. I was really happy because I really liked him. We had been spending a lot of time together and I met all of his friends and spoke to his sister on the phone (hes from Dominican Republic). However, a week later I was at his house and his ex girlfriend came over. I was really confused as to why she was there, and why I felt like he was not telling me the truth about who she was. He told me later he thought that I was going to get mad. That would have been the truth. I dont know any girlfriend that would have been happy with that, and with her boyfriend lying about an ex, (who was supposed to be a friend?). So, the next day, I called him and after he admitted it was his ex, I told him that we should separate. He begged me not to leave him, but I have had a horrible history with men (that he knew about) and was scared. Two days later, he said maybe we should leave things as they are, since we had not been together that long. I agreed, but he kept calling me. Finally, he showed up at my job and we went somewhere to talk. He was really emotional, and started to tell me that he was confused. His ex was contacting him and begging him for a chance. I told him that if he was confused then he needed to take the time out and rethink things. He kept saying how sorry he was about putting me in that situation and saying i was a great person, and then told me if we are supposed to get back together, we will get back together. I am really sad and dont know what to think other than it is over with us? I havent heard from him in two days, and made sure to erase his numbers so i wouldnt feel tempted to call him. I was fine the first day, but i am a wreck today. Please leave honest advice.Thank you

 You did the right thing not to let yourself in for the worry and jealousy of hanging around while he decided between his ex and you. Try to forget about him. Get involved in something to keep your mind off him.
