Therefore, as far as he is concerned (and he's told you he fancies someone else) the answer to your question is: do nothing.
For YOURSELF, tho' there is plenty you can do! Do the best you can at school, or at work, so that your teachers or your boss will be happy with you! Read books you like; go to movies, hang out with your friends, spend time with your family! In short, do what makes YOU happy and what makes you feel worthwhile, and don't worry about this lad. Plenty of other fish in the sea, and all that!

 You can't make anyone love you!
All you can be is a friend and maybe one day he might see you as something more but you can't hold your hopes on that as he may never look at you as more than just a friend.
