He then asked on the end of the text if i like anybody at the minute. I didn't know how to reply to this as i can't really say "You", so i kind of panicked and said "a little, but i don't really know" and returned the question, to his reply "i'm not sure really" I asked what he meant and he said he's had troubled relationships in the past and he's worried about trusting people. I want to know if it is me who he likes or if i'm just wasting time :/

Do you like him?
If so the best thing is to force a resolution one way or the other. Sighing from the shadows gets no one anywhere.
Better take the pain of a rejection and get it done. And most likely he rather likes you or he wouldn't be casting out the question in the first place!
Why not text back: I've been thinking some more and tbh I'm kind of fond of you.

Well if you are wanting to know if it is you then you need to both stop giving off mixed signals. If you like him then tell him, if you don't then you are always going to be second guessing it and wondering what could have been. Yes I can understand you would be worried as he has trust issues but that can be resolved in time. Just tell him you like him and see what he has to say, one of you are going to need to make the first move and be honest.
