#1 are you using the slender tampons when you do use them? if not then they can damage the vaginal area (just a heads up!)

#2like everyone else said you have to relax entirely and 'aim' towards the tailbone (as someone said before me its easier if your sitting on the toilet)

#3 as you get older- yes you are still young!- it will most likely get wider, don't forget that's where a baby has to come out! so don't worry.

SirenaBlusera agony auntI think EmilyAnswers pretty much said it all. In my case though, cardboard applicators were really uncomfortable and I prefer the kind that have NO applicator (O.B. makes these) or a plastic applicator (Kotex makes these).

All the aunts are correct, you have to relax; it won't go in if you are too tense.

Trust me, you will be able to have sex... but just remember there's a time and a place. :)

sweetie dont worry about it even the tightest can have sex if youre still worried about it u can try a few tricks i did before i had sexand maybey some after to masterbation is good but do it frequently a lot when you do it try to put more fingers up the more fingers go up the looser the more your vag streaches the looser the hole

along with that if you start out with a guy that has a really tiny dick if you do the above enough it wont hurt and every guy after that take a step up

i did these things and i never knew how bad loss of verginity was until i was with a guy whowas way to big for me to handle and when my ex tried to put it in my ass hole

if these things dont work for you hunny i dont know wut will i hope everythig work sout for the best

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (19 October 2008):

What direction are you putting it up?

The first time I tried to put one in I was pushing straight up and had the same problem.

You need to gently slide it so it's going in the direction of your back... aim for your tail bone, it's easier if you are sitting down on the loo and using a tampon with a shiney cardboard applicator. Or you could lie down on your back on the floor and your knees bent so your feet are flat on the floor. That should make it easier the first time and then you'll soon get the hang of it.

The other silly thing I did was deciding to practice putting it in while not on my period. You need some kind of lubrication and period blood is ideal to let it slide straight in and not stick.

Also as the above person says, relax! Do it after you have been to the loo and then relax all the muscles as though you are going for a wee.

You will be able to have sex, that is pretty much guaranteed. Don't let his worry you even though I know it is stressful when you are bent over and it's not going in.

Why not have a read of the instructions that come in the bottom of the box on a little folded up bit of paper? They have little diagrams etc that are quite helpful.

Good Luck!! xx
