fi_the_tree agony auntSounds pretty normal to me. I've been on the pill for a LONG time now (i'm talking 10 years) and i can predict my period down to the time of day (morning, afternoon, night)!!!

But like you, i have 4 days of flow, then it seems to stop for a day, then i'll have 1 last day of flow. Basically my point is, the pill needs time to settle your body into a routine. As Abella said, it takes a few months, then you will find yourself in a routine.

If you do have any questions, then arrange a telephone appointment with your doctor, he or she should be able to answer any questions you have.

Abella agony auntfor the first month you are still not protected from pregnancy,as you need a full month on the pill for the protection to kick in.

However also in the first few weeks the hormones will be affecting you. So your body will react until things settle down.

This is normal and occurs with other medications as the ingredients start to rebalance you as they work to fix whatever you require fixed within you.

If you are particularly worried read the pamphlet that came in the contraceptive packet or see your Doctor.

It sounds normal, but see your Doctor for professional confirmation.

Also make sure you take the pill at a set time daily.

And if you ever have another condition that causes vomiting see your Doctor as it could ruin the protection for that month.

You must not miss taking even one day's pill with this medication.
