A female United Kingdom, anonymous writes:

I split with my ex 6 weeks ago as he went off wiv another girl. We had a big row about it cos I wanted him back and we were quite nasty to each other. Last week, Id had enough of rowing with him and just decided to be nice and friendly to keep the peace and to get on with my life.

This morning I woke to a text on my fone from him which didnt make sense. I looked at the time it was sent, in the early hours, so I decided he must of been drunk and just text him back a cheery reply. He then text back saying it wasnt meant for me to which I replied with OK. Just OK. Then he was textin me sort of tryin to start a conversation. I replied to his texts as i didnt want to look like I was in a mood with him still. I thought it was very odd what he was doing cos he had broke all contact wiv me since we split (it was usually me who would call/text him and argue. Then the texts just stopped.

But now Im left thinking why has he done that? I dont believe for one minute the first text was meant for someone else. Is it because since Ive been civil towards him and look like im gettin on with life he doesnt like it and is using this way to see if I still love him? And although I do, I dont want him to think he can me back whenever he feels like it. So what should I do next? Just leave it?

Who knows what's going on in head.

He left you for someone else so he's going to be the kind of guy who plays mind games and has double standards.

Yes it's fine for him to cheat and go off and be single but when you seem to be happy he doesn't like it. It doesn't mean he wants to get back with you, or that he knows he was wrong, just that he is bitter and a knob end.

Move on and continue being happy.

You are better off single than with a guy like him.

Good Luck!! xx
