It's almost been anyway since we last split and during the time we did split, there was still intense stuff going on such as the continuation of the blame game, ex sex and so much more. He really has moved on and so have I. But sometimes, I think about him. I really believed he was the only one for me and well, it's very hard to erase him from my mind. I can make it through the days but my love for this boy was intense. This growth apart shows me how further and further I am from him and it's strange. Do any of you guys share the same experience? When you see your first love as your prime soulmate etc? I'd love to hear stories from older people who really believed in their long term first loves.

I think that nobody ever really forgets their first love, after all, we shared our first embrace, our first proper kiss, and many other things that are associated with your first romance.
I do still remember my first love, sarah, i was 16, and she was 15, and she was my first meaningful relationship. I can still feel how i felt all those years ago, i remember asking her out after getting off of the school bus one day and she said yes. I was absolutely over the moon, butterflies racing, it felt amazing. We did alot of things together, and we really enjoyed being together. I always remember walking her home, early evening and being with her at the bottom of her drive behind a large lalandi tree, thats where we shared our first proper kiss, and i will never forget it, and it is something i shall keep with me for the rest of my life.
Over the course of time we drifted apart, mainly on my part truth be told, i guess because i was 16 i suppose. But looking back on it i do miss those times, and sarah, and i regret how the relationship turned out the way it did. Probably now she is married with a couple of kids, who knows. But for me, she was my first love, and you never forget your first love, or indeed what we called our song, I've had the time of my life, from Dirty Dancing.
