How can YOU stop this??? YOU CAN'T. When she has had enough pain and suffering...she will get off the rollercoaster she is riding. No one can make her get off if she doesn't want to.
All you can do is be there for her when she crashes again. By continually allowing him back in her life she is she is condoning his behavior. She is basically saying "It's okay, I will take you back!"
As much as you know that and want to "Stop the madness," It is up to her!
Eventually, she will realize that this is no way to live and she will kick him to the curb! Then she will have to examine why she put up with it for so long! Hopefully she will learn from the experience, and never make the same mistakes again!
