I'm a bit worried I did it wrong or something. also it stings to pee a bit.

What kind of quack of a doctor would make you do your own swab? You should get a new doctor and have them do the swab themselves with the speculum in and such.
I can't say why it bled or caused stinging, since your urethra and vagina are separate tubes.

Why did you do your own swab?
And I think you might have hit your uterus wall or something, a swab (even when hitting high) shouldn't make it sting when you pee - pee comes out your urinary tract not your vagina.
