There are ways to prtect yourself from any number of disgusting diseases. In case you do not want to click or it won't load, this is the list: HIV, herpes, HPV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis and hepatitis B. Thats pretty much everything. So its very important that you both just do a check up and make sure you are clean. While you are there, mayb check out birth control and then you'll be ready if find yourself heading towards home base in the heat of the moment? accidents happen. Better safe to the max then sorry. If he really likes you he will not put up a fuss about being checked. he should care about his and your health! and if he does put up a fuss, he is no good. You have to look out for yourself and your health first. never put that stuff into someone elses hands. you are young, you need to know you can always depend on yourself! always take care of number one.

If neither person has had any sex, either, you shouldn't have STD's. There's a chance one of you may have oral STD's from a non-sexual source, but it's pretty small.
Check to see the the guy hasn't had sex of any kind, either. Including oral.

It is very much possible to get an STD from giving or receiving oral sex, although not all STD's are possible, many still are.People who suffer from gum bleeding diseases such as gingivitis put anyone they have oral sex with at extreme risk of contracting very serious STD such as HIV.You were probably referring to a simple blow job when you asked the question, but truth be told, it is exactly the same. If you are worried about such things use a condom, and do not attempt any kind of oral sex with any kind of cut or broken skin where exposure to blood is possible.
