Sperm do not die on contact with oxygen. If they did, there would be no sperm banks. If semen remains at body temperature and moist, the sperm remain viable for quite some time.
Please watch this video for a great explanation of how pregnancy happens:

If you put semen into your vagina, you could well be pregnant. I believe 15 days after day one of your period is among your most fertile, assuming you have regular periods approximately 28-29 days apart.
There is emergency contraception known as Plan B (or the morning-after pill). It can be taken several days after the incident in question, but the effectiveness drops off rapidly after 24 or 48 hours. Please go see your doctor or a pharmacist to discuss if this is an option for you.

You might spend some time on the plannedparenthood.org site to understand your body and its functions a little better.
Good luck!

Err sorry didn't read your question properly.
If your period doesn't come after a week do a test :)
But don't worry because this might delay your period which will cause you to stress.

Yes you could be.
Sperm will stay alive aslong as it has contact with your body at 37c.
There is a chance you could be pregnant.
Get a test from your local supermarket and do one then do another one 48 hours later to make sure the results are the same. If they both come back positive go and see your doctor as soon as possible.
Good luck

you are only a few days off your next cycle - you could wait? (- i am not sure of implications of this (help other aunts))
