Definitely either and/or both. Birth control does effect your breasts and can make them swell and sore. However, breasts growing can cause that kind of pain as well...
I find that sleeping on my stomach makes my breasts really sore, even now at 21 when my boobs are pretty fully grown. But lying flat on them squishes them and makes them super sore in the morning! Lying on your side or back will really help them calm down!

But there is a small chance it could be neither. You hsould go to you doctor and seek their opinion and hopefully you will grow out of it soon or there will be a way to resolve your pain.
Good Luck. x

probably a bit of both. the pill effects oestrogen in your body, and a side effect of that can be that your breasts will become larger and more painful. At your age they will still be growing as well. If you are newly on the pill it can take a few months for things to settle down and for your body to get used to the change in hormone level so things should sort themselves out in time. If it is really painful and disrupting your daily routines i would go back to the doctor and explain everything then ask to have your pill changed.

It could be both - the hormones in contraceptive pills often make your breasts grow, which can make them feel tender. If you're in a lot of pain though, you should see your doctor. It's also important to make sure your bras fit properly, especially if your breasts are growing unusually fast.
