And you don't have to worry about privacy issues, either.

I hope that social networking is just a trend that will go away soon. It sucks being the only outsider who never knows what is going on in other people's lives and doesn't meet any new people, but I really don't want to be a part of the Facebook world.

Don't worry, you're not weird. I'm pretty much doing what you're doing: have an account but hardly ever going on it. Facebook was recommmended to me, but I find it terribly boring and prefer to talk to people face to face. Again, you're not boring, you just prefer to socialize differently rather than staring at a computer screen all day (which is much better in the long run).

Enormous waste of time you are better off without it. Would never touch it myself.

You're not weird. I don't really see the point of it, either. I'm on Facebook to stay in touch with friends, and to this day only have 11 on there, because I only add people I know in person or very well. For many people it seems all they care about is increasing their number of 'friends' and making pointless updates. I've never understood it.
It's the same situation with Twitter. Why are people so obsessed with telling everyone they had a sandwich for lunch or something just as trivial?

i'm the same, i'm 14, and i don't go on facebook very often, the thing is, i just have much better things to do, so no, that doesn't make you wierd, and if you really think it does, all the best people are!

That doesn't make you weird, at all!!
In fact... Facebook is a pointless thing, really...
It's an addiction. Nothing beneficial to it - but you keep going on, and on...
Kudos to you for not going on!
I respect you for that.
Don't think of yourself as weird: think of yourself as someone who has better things to do than sitting pointlessly on a website for hours on end...
I know I wish I was like that! :P
