Hi all...looking for a bit of advice :)

Im currently 30 weeks pregnant and have recently found out of a few small problems with the pregnancy. Thankfully nothing major but i am going into hospital twice a week to be monitored. I am happy that they are keeping a close eye on me and my baby.

However, i have been told that at anybof my appointments there will be a possibility of me being admitted for at least 1 nights stay ... if not the duration of my pregnancy.

This is not deffinite they are just being honest with me.

Now i have already packed my hospital bag for when i go into labour. I was thinking is it a good idea to pack another bag...in preparation of a couple of nights stay at the hospital incase it was unexpected at any time? And if so what should i put in this bag? As if im jjst staying a couple of nights i know inwont need my labour bag?

Thankyou in advance

So_Very_Confused agony auntGuess what... ANYTHING you need they have at the hospital.

hair brush

tooth brush

tooth paste

mouthwash

soap

towels

deodorant

you can wear one gown forward and one gown backwards as a robe

they have slipper socks..

there is really nothing you would need for a one night stay and if you end up staying longer the baby's dad or someone else can bring what else you need.

bring cell phone and tablet to keep from getting bored but most of us carry those all the time anyway...

Honeypie agony aunt30 weeks?

I'd just bring the labor bag. It's not like you have to unpack it for an overnight stay.

You are almost there :) Hang in there!

Pack what you think you need, but a wise thing to do would be to make a list of where things are in your home, that way if you need someone to bring them, it'll be easy for them to find. If you're like me you may need someone to bring you extra clothes, items from your bathroom, and food.

Aunty BimBim agony auntHave a small bag with you with enough 'stuff' to keep you going for two or three days, depending on what you normally wear I would suggest comfy track suits, undies, basic toiletries, slippers, book, ipad or craft project, permissible snacks and a small amount of money.

Before you go for your fortnightly visit, put out enough stuff to keep you going for a few weeks, so that if you do end up staying more than a night or two you can simply say to partner, or mother, I need more clothes, they are folded on the end of the dresser (or where ever).

Make sure the important people (partner and another relative) are aware of where you have put your hospital bag for when you go into labour.

Good luck with it all.

For one overnight stay...what would you think you need ? Only you can pack yourself, but I would take the following:-

Hairbrush

Toothbrush & paste

make up / mirror

perfume

Underwear

PJs

deodorant

shower stuff

wear what you had on the day before for the journey home the following day as long as it was clean on

footwear
