A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

where to start. im worried i wont even get a reply but here goes,

i have fallen in love with a guy i work with. i know i have because i have felt like this from the first day 7 months ago so its not a crush. ive been on my own over a year. my ex left me to the point where i was virtually bankrupt im clawing my way back but im struggling. anyway this guy is funny to be with-makes me laugh something i havent done in a long time and seems to genuinely like working with me.

im worried though because lately a lot of red flags have come up. his wife ran off with her cousin a year ago and i know he has been traumatised by this after the conversations we've had. he says things like he owns 3 properties abroad-has 60 k in savings but never seems to have money. im emotionally confused i have strong feelings for him and he says he trusts me yet i keep getting red flags up plus why would he want to be with someone in the mess im in. please advise me. why is he lying ? is it to make himself feel better or an insecurity thing im so upset
