So I go and fall for the one that's going away...

A male United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I'll keep this short and sweet, because that's what it is.

The woman I love is moving to Australia soon. I have long since come to the conclusion that I'm happy for her, as it's a fantastic opportunity for her and her future, and she should exploit it.

Unfortunately, my feelings for her remain, and it's already unbearably hard to accept she's going so far away. Neither of us have any idea how long whe's going to be: it could be months or even years before we see each other again.

Question: How do I manage this? I realise that she might meet someone else out there, and I'm not going to tie her down before she goes. I'd wait for her: wait until she comes back, however long. But would she wait? I have no idea.

Hooray for short and sweet. Thanks guys.

You dont have to "tie her down" to let her know how you feel. Don't let the opportunity pass you by, I was in a similar situation a few months back and I didn't follow my heart...don't do the same
