writes: i recently almost slept with my best friends brother at her 18th, we did everything apart from full sex, only thing stopping us ws that there were no condoms. I was attracted to him straigt away and he made it clear that he was attractd to me. Me and my best friend have always agreed to lay off each others brothers but she has been surprisingly cool about it. Now the brother is saying that he wants to see me again but that we have to keep it a secret from his sis as she will get upset "over nothing". His actual words. So i'm starting to feel a bit worthless. Am i being unreasonable or is he? I am 17, he is 22. thanks

It is probably for the best that you tell your best mate that you are seeing her brother again whatever he thinks. It comes down to trust between friends and she maybe hurt if she thinks you were sneaking around behind her back. As for her brother...just go carefully with him. It could be awkward if this is just a fling and then you still have to see him afterwards when you call around their house to see your pal. If you think her brother wants to keep it 'secret' for bad reasons then don't sleep with him. If he really likes you then he will stick around in the long run - if he just thinks of it as a sexual thing then his interest will go when he is not getting what he wants. There are lots of men out there, but best friends are precious!
