Slapped infront of my kids!

my wife i both cheated i finally came o realize this wasnt the path we both should be on for our kids sake and our as well but just when i thought it was to good to be true i was slapped in the face only this time he was around my kids it crushed me and it bothers me everyday all day knowing this. we go to couseling now to try an fix it we both well i want to to be loved again like we used too and want the bs to end she says the same but i dont find it to be true anymore an just afraid to trust it now being this man was in my home around my kids i mean wow that was all to easy to just trust some guy u claim you dont really know from work and dont speak to in our home let alone have sex with him but the question is was it payback or should i try and trust her
