writes: 21 been seeing this guy that i met online for about 2 months.. saw each other about twice a week, but ive been away for the past few weeks and so have been thinking about the relationship etc...this is the first time ive dated someone and so im wondering whether because this is all new to me that im expecting too much etc- but basically i dont know if i feel those "butterfly" feelings that i usuaully feel when i like someone..how do you know whether someone your dating would be better off as a friend?

If things are going good then why keep it as just friends? That butterfly feeling comes and goes, it doesn't happen with every guy.
Maybe you're a little unsure of this online dating and the potential LDR that you could have. Or that you may not have enough time for him. It just depends, if you're not that into him then don't engage in a relationship. If you're a little wary of a LDR (in which I DON'T recommend as your first relationship) definitely don't get into a relationship. Or give it a little time and see where it goes.
Usually when one has doubts about a guy she's seeing then it's best to keep it as friends, nothing more.
