Had a convo with girlfriends who told me I have to stop taking such pills at this age. This means that I will have to start using condoms with me man which I dont mind...Is it true that as women get older and to increase their chances of pregnancy they should stop taking birth control pills. I want to be safer than not safe. The pills give me more security that condoms. What do you think I should do?

The official opinion is that due to blood clot risk women should talk to their doctor about continuing the pill after the age of 35. There is no evidence that continuing to take the pill at any age has a permanent or lasting effect on fertility.

You have the chance of getting pregnant as soon as you stop taking birth control pills. So if you aren't ready to have kids yet, and want to wait another year, don't stop taking them until you're 100% sure you're ready to get pregnant

see your doctor. taking the pill can have risks at any age. the older you get the riskier it is. discuss your family history with your doctor. have you considered the coil?
