Our five kids range in ages 3~11,all girls,she lives in England we live in the states but he goes back to visit his dad and sister ,did I mention she does not like me,and gossip about me behind my back when i went for a visit with our then 2kids,She just want to have a relationship with him and him alone,he is ok with that but I am not I believe if someone does not like the family you have created then they can't like you.family first, right? The "issue" - as you describe things - is NOT your hubby's family... it is between YOU and HUBBY....
IF he chooses not to stand up to his family and make it clear to them that you and he are a married couple.... and HE expects them to treat YOU .... and HIM.... and YOUR KIDS as "family".... then he's really "telling" YOU that you and the kids are not much of a priority for him....
Stay focused on that, and see if you and he can reconcile this matter....
P.S. It MAY require that HE have a spinal implant!!!!....
