I have been with my boyfriend for just over a year and I absolutely adore him.Everything he does makes me feel that he loves me, although we have never said' I love you ' to each other.I am scared to say it first to him in case he doesn't say it back, although I feel I will burst if I don't tell him.Should I wait forhim to say it or just say it first?

A reader, anonymous, writes (11 July 2006):

Expressing your self to someone you love should never be conditional of what you would expect in return. That is not how love operates.

Trust in your heart. I'd tell him. Maybe he is feeling the same way and thinking the same thoughts.

No regrets.

Tell him that bit about you will burst if you do not say what you are feeling in an overwhelming but terrific way.

*hugs*

tell him you love him he is most probably waiting for you to say it first. boys are very shy when it comes to saying the 3 big words i love you. you really have to mean it. so tell him if you really mean it and see how it goes.
