writes: Hey, just so you know I am from Canada and have had a pregnancy test that was negativeI've been feeling really sick for the past two and a half weeks. My symptoms are: nauseous but only in the morning however NOW its starting in the evening as well, dizzy, light headed, my arms and legs feel tingly sometimes, headaches, diarrhea (ew!), lower back aches, and feeling faint. I've been the hospital numbers of times, been hooked up to Iv's, had an upper endoscopy, two x-rays, blood tests, urine tests, and one ultrasound. All of which came back fine. My new family Dr (the old one retired)told me nothings wrong and to take a gravol. I am sure that there is something more to this...I am not okay. Ive been throwing up every single day for almost 3 weeks! I hate having to wake up because I know it means me hanging out in the bathroom for 3 hours trying not to be sick. Gravol dosn't help, nothing helps and it seems that no one is willing to. My parents have just moved to Alberta and I am living with my boyfirend. My queestions are: Has anyone experienced what I am experiencing?Does anyone know what this sounds like?Should I try a new hospital for possible answers?

If the blood test did not show any raised HCG, the likelyhood of you being pregnant is really low.
However I still say go see a doctor, if you don't feel right, then something isn't right.

When you did the pregnancy test was it blood or a pee test? The blood is usually more accurate.
Uncle Phil might be right about the food poisoning, but as I am not a doctor I can only suggest that you go see a REAL doctor.

reader, anonymous, writes (29 July 2009): Sounds like maybe it could be food poisoning. A member of my family had Campylobacter food poisoning not so long ago and their syptoms were much the same as yours. Ask the doc if he'll send off a stool sample for testing. If that was to come back ok you might reasonably assume you have a food allergy. Try cutting out certain types of food (eg. dairy one week, protein the next) and see if there's any difference.
