I know that precum is just a way of lubrication etc and it is the actual cum that contains the sperm. But still, does any one with a sound medical knowledge (not someone guessing) know the likelyhood of me getting pregnant this way? I think it is extremely extremely slim?I am in a lovely relationship with my husband, and to be honest if I do or I dont get pregnant now or anytime in the future, either way is fine for us...Just let nature take its course whatever happens.

Before people get the wrong idea of the stick here: I am not trying to get pregnant or anything; if I ever get pregnant now or even years from now then it is fine, if I dont get pregnant then that is fine too. The only reason I am asking is just for curiosity sake....just the first person left a comment about why does it matter or why do I need to know....well I think I am allowed to be curious about my body and how these things work....thanks all xx

Even the safest method , the pill is not 100% safe.
You may still get pregnant in rare cases.
There are no 100% safe contraceptive methods

reader, anonymous, writes (5 June 2008): Just to dispel the first myth - that pre-cum is just lubrication and nothing else - it actually contains millions of sperm. Ejaculate contains many millions more, and let's face it, you only need one of the little buggers to get through. So no, pulling out just a fraction before the vinegar stoke is not really a satisfactory method of birth control. To dispel the second myth, rather than offering an extremely slim chance of getting pregnant the rhythm method offers an extremely likely chance.
Take a look at the Brook Advisory Centres website where there's lots more information on this and many other matters. http://www.brook.org.uk/
If you've ever listened to Billy Connolly on the subject, he is very grateful to the Catholic Church and the rhythm method - without which, he says, he would not be here.
