A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

I have been seeing a guy who i 26 and im 31 we work together...he has come out of a long relationship around 3 months ago and i think he still has feelings for her because she ended it and he has anxiety issues..im also coming out of a relationship but its my choice...

Anyway we have been getting on really well and decided to sleep together then he went to a wedding a few days later which his ex-girlfriend also went to and since then he seems a little distant and now wants to take things slow...we talk every night on the phone but last night he did not call/text nothing also a few days ago when i asked him if he wanted to stop seeing me..he said that he wants to see me and does not understand why i think that but wants to take things slow...however if we take it any slower we could breakdown at this rate...

Im now just sitting here wondering do i contact him or just wait for him...i would rather feel comfortable to contact him whenever i like but since the take things slow comment i dont feel like i can..what do i do i really like him but im not going to chase someone who is not interested!!!! Help is he letting me down gently or something?????

You have the answer! Do not chase him, wait a few days, if he makes contact and arrangements to see you great; if not, move on! Maybe he has some issues to sort out, specially after seeing the ex again, thus give him a little space, but don't wait forever!

Don't let him know you are sitting waiting for him either!

Start going out and meeting other people, it will help you not to sit and wait at the phone!

Good luck!
