I've been thinking about telling him that I'm gay, We talk a lot at school and he seems to be a pretty cool guy, but I wanted to try and get to know him better. On Tuesday, I sent him a facebook message saying something like"hey i was wondering if you might want to go see a movie or something this friday?"and he just completely ignores me, and it kills me.I was going to ask him at school, but being the kind-of shy person that I am, I never really found a good time to ask him. I guess it would just make him and I look awkward in front of a huge group of 15-20 people standing in the middle of the hallway.But to the point, should I tell him that I'm gay? And if he just completely ignores my messages, (even a "no leave me alone" would make me feel better than not responding at all.) is he trying to "say" f*** off in a nicer way?

If you tell him, do you know if he will tell others? Being "out" in high school can be hell. I don't think you should risk that unless you know for sure what his reaction will be.
Liking him and not being with him can be bad but having someone you like turn on you is even worse.
Of course you could wait until you're both out of high school to tell him. You would need patience but there's less risk.

Do your male friend speak to you about girls ever? if your not sure, you need to first find out by talking to him about a girl, to see how he would react to the conversation and then you will know if he likes girls or guys.
