writes:So i dated this guy for six months, and i thought our relationship was the best thing that had ever happened to me. He seemed like the perfect guy. Unfortunately, we broke up, but we were still best friends. However, a week ago a found out that he cheated on me while we were dating back then. The only thing i can say is that i'm not the type of person who likes to confront/fight with people. I talked to him about it, and he told me that he had done it because he thought we were not in a relationship (when we clearly were). Should i still be friends with him, our call our friendship officially over and move on??

reader, anonymous, writes (14 July 2010): Well okay fair enough he cheated and it was wrong but the past is the past, theres nothing stopping you from continuing your friendship, think about it - your not getting back in a relationship with him so he cant exactly do it to you again plus would you want to lose him as a friend? u gotta think of all the up sides and down sides to remaining ur friendship. Good luck for whatever you choose :)x
