A female reader, GeeGee255 United States +, writes (17 March 2011):

GeeGee255 agony auntDo you like this boy? Would you want to be his girl?

If you do then just smile and be friendly, and wait for him to tell you he likes you and wants to be your boyfriend.

But if you do not like him, then yes you should tell him you are not interested in him as a boyfriend and to leave you alone. Tell him to stop telling people that you are his girl and avoid him.
