Should i be more open about who i date. every time i go for the ones im attracted too it always blows up in my face.

Don't look for someone to date, so much as just people to hang around and enjoy as friends. When you continue to socialize, friend-wise, you'll pick up on which people are more worth dating, and which ones won't be such bad options. Don't pressure yourself to have a boyfriend, but wait, even if it takes a year or two, for a more compatible boyfriend who meets your standards and needs. Never lower your standards just to force a boyfriend.
