Should I patiently wait for the house or rent a flat with him?

My bf started his own business 2 weeks ago. His goal is to earn enough so we can buy a house together and live comfortably. I once said to myself I’m not going to be marrying/moving in with a guy unless we have our own house. It has been hard for me to follow what I have said to myself since I really want to live with my bf. Should I patiently wait for the house (which will probably be in the winter 2007)? Or should I just say what the heck and rent a place with him for now? I’m scare if we started renting, it will take us even longer to get a house. At the same time, I’m afraid my bf’s business will not take off as he says it will. Any suggestions?

DV1 agony auntIf you want to be with him, does it really matter. As long as there's a roof over your head, and love under it, it shouldn't matter. You guys won't even need a house until it's time to start a family. Just be loving to him.

Hi there Hun,

We all have conditions at times but what the heck we break them too....

Renting a flat with him for a year is not a bad idea before you committ to buying a property, living together is totally different than seeing each other evenings and weekends...

You will learn so much more about one another including bad habits,

Good luck hope this helps
