Well you don't have to tell them she's a girl, or you could just say you are meeting as friends, but make sure you have someone looking out for you. Better safe than sorry!

Well follow the usual rules of meeting internet people. Do it in a public place and tell friends or someone where you are going and tell them you will text them every now and then to show you are not kidnapped / murdered.
You aren't a little girl meeting a strange older man, but at the same time you need to be careful. You don't know this girl, she might be lying about the fact she's in an open relationship. She might want her boyfriend to be involved. She might be a serial killer.
If you want to meet her then go for it but go with a suspicious mind.
If you only want to go so you can try stuff with a girl then I suggest going to gay bars or groups so you can meet people that way and flirt and snog and get to know girls that way.
