We have been exchanging emails for a couple of weeks now.Should I meet this girl, she is younger than me?I'd really appreciate some tips from people, especially if they are just about to meet someone whom they 'met' online?then I wrote:Progress report! Our family had a 60-minute makeover done last year, and it is going to be on tv on 29 oct, 2pm. The good news is that she is a student games teacher so it will be half term, and the even better news is she is coming to watch it with us! My cousin told me that it will be better for her to meet me with friends around. She will be coming from the Isle of Sheppey, so I'm not sure whether to take her to this American diner I like, or will be that for next time?Maybe I'll see the answers this time!!

Should I 'get her alone' on that day, or how should I play it?

I would meet her somewhere public for the first time, maybe not with a LOT of family and friends around because that can become very awkward fast. (I think you are old enough to meet her 1 on 1.) Personally I wouldn't want a chaperone when meeting someone for the first time.
Make the first meeting short, like go for coffee, lunch. If you two them hit it of you can make more elaborate plans for a second date.
If you don't hit it off... it was just coffee :)
