so my bestfriend and i both like the same guy. i know its so original, but i need help. the other night, i he told me he liked us both but that he liked my friend more. i knew that it was coming so i just gave up. i told him that he should be with her not me, obviously i wasnt going to waste my time on him anymore. i love my bestfriend to death and i know she likes him too. so, i gave up fighting for him and let her have him. i dont know if that was the right thing to do though. i was told to always fight for what i want, but i just gave up. what should i do? fight for him or continue on with my life? please help me! :(

It sounds like it's time to move on. He's made it clear to you that he is interested in your friend. Pursuing him will not only ruin your friendship with your best friend but it may also push him further away.
