A male Malaysia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

hey, erm ........ So I like this girl in school! Un fortunately, one of my friend told the girl's best friend which is a guy and he eventually told everyone in school, before that she was so friendly to me, we had quite a few chats, but I always get nervous when I'm talking to her. Now she is ignoring me, I'm guessing someone already told her that I like her. To make matter worse, her best friend hinted her that I liked her. I feel so down now. I can't confess my feeling for her because I'm not really close to her yet. Should I just be friends with her first? But she is ignoring me. What should I do

dirtball agony auntBeing friends first is a risky play. Often you end up in the dreaded "friend zone" never to be viewed in a romantic way again.

To me, she sounds uninterested. But you never know until you try. I say you should ask her out. The big secret is out anyway, so time to man up! It's ok that you aren't that close, often that's better. Ask her out, at least then you'll know for sure.
