Always go to college if you can. Its not just about earning potential but also about finding yourself and new experiences. You will meet new people and undoubtedly your life will follow a new more exciting path. Good luck.

Have you tried the SAT instead? Some people do better on one than the other. If you have any kind of learning disability you can also get extended time. So that's a way to get a little more time, if you have ADHD or something like that.
You shouldn't give up your job until you have something else lined up, like college. A college degree would probably make it easier to get a job, and definitely make it easier to advance, but you don't want to get rid of your job until you're certain. It's not an either/or thing right now.

Can you not save money aside from your farm job and at a later date go and do higher education?
that way you wont have to move back home if you have some funds.
I think if you really want to progress , education and experience is the way to go, its what employers seek in the professional career's.
