So he doesn't feel too much of a stranger, why not have a good chat on the phone. I don't mean your life stories, I mean "How's your week going?" "What have you been doing" and stuff like that. This way you get an idea of the things he likes and his everyday routine etc. You will get some idea how his job/course is going. Fiona.

Go for it, as you say you only live once.
Actually most guys I met, I met in a club on a dance-floor, or in a pub. So I guess in some cases that's not much different.
I assume any friend you were with that night, thinks you should go for it?
Or if you are concerned, why not meet for coffee at Starbucks/costas? You are still meeting up but some people think meeting in the day is better somehow.
Good luck and tell us how you get on.

Meet him, but go with a friend. Or, have a friend nearby. Try to go somewhere not too quiet, just in case :)
