writes: i have a small flesh coloured bump on my right vaginal lip, i dont know whether its genital warts or an ingrown hair from shaving, but today i squeezed it and a small bit of pus came out now it looks like a spot?last year i caught chlamydia and then when i got medication for it i went and got checked again and got told i was clear but a never thought to get checked for anything else such as hiv/aids do you think the nurse would have said to me to get checked if she thought i had it? or would i have symptoms by now?[Mod note: two questions from the same poster combined due to similar nature of the question.]

1. YES go get a check up. Sounds like a shaving bump, but better be safe.
2. USE a condom. STD's can be cured, but some will linger in your body and can be transmitted to others, for the rest of your life.

We are not medical professionals and it would be irresponsible for anyone on here to diagnose you without seeing you and being a qualified doctor...
so yes, you should get checked out, the bump may well be an ingrown hair but without seeing it, we cant say what it is or is not!
