Question - (29 July 2010) 2 Answers - (Newest, 29 July 2010)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

i have a small flesh coloured bump on my right vaginal lip, i dont know whether its genital warts or an ingrown hair from shaving, but today i squeezed it and a small bit of pus came out now it looks like a spot?

last year i caught chlamydia and then when i got medication for it i went and got checked again and got told i was clear but a never thought to get checked for anything else such as hiv/aids do you think the nurse would have said to me to get checked if she thought i had it? or would i have symptoms by now?

Honeypie agony aunt1. YES go get a check up. Sounds like a shaving bump, but better be safe.

2. USE a condom. STD's can be cured, but some will linger in your body and can be transmitted to others, for the rest of your life.

A reader, anonymous, writes (29 July 2010):

As a rule of thumb, if you are on here asking if you should get a check up for ANY health concern, the answer will be a resounding YES! We are not medical professionals and it would be irresponsible for anyone on here to diagnose you without seeing you and being a qualified doctor...

so yes, you should get checked out, the bump may well be an ingrown hair but without seeing it, we cant say what it is or is not!

Hope this helps!
