A female United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

Okay how to start how to start. Ever since I was young I have always been told or under the impression that if you ignore a guy long enough than he'll come to you. I think, no I know, that this guy is my soulmate. He's my best guy friend and trusts me with everything. Very recently we have gotten extremely close and than he just stopped texting me. It seems like he's ignoring me and so I haven't been texting him or coming in contact. I texted him under a different number to see if it was me being silly but he responded. It is killing me not talking to him but I don't wanna be all desperate. I haven't talked to him for 4 days and I wanna know if I should just swallow my pride and give in. Thanks :).

A reader, anonymous, writes (22 July 2011):

You should text him. Sometimes I do the same thing with this guy I like and most of the time he texts me first, but if it's been too long I just text him. If he texts you back that means he wants to talk to you, so don't worry about it too much. Text him.
